The Agency Funding Advisory Committee of the Roanoke Arts Commission (RAC) makes annual recommendations to Council for the expenditure of funds to arts and cultural nonprofit organizations. Applications are available through the Office of Economic Development in early December every year.
***NEW*** The Department of Management and Budget together with the Roanoke Arts Commission (RAC) and the Human Services Advisory Board (HSAB) will be conducting a FY18 budget kickoff session on Thursday, December 1 from 9:00 to 11:00 in the City Council Chambers. This meeting is mandatory for any non-profit organization that intends to request funding in the upcoming budget cycle through one of these two committees. Representatives from the HSAB and RAC, together with a representative from the United Way, will review the steps and documentation required to submit a funding application through this process.

As before we will have the beginning session in Council Chambers – 4th floor of municipal building at 217 Church Ave SW. We will then break out into a session for arts and cultural applicants in the council conference room next door. You must be present at both sessions. Because this room is smaller than our previous space I ask that only one representative attend from each organization.
